PWC kicked-off the agency’s 11th annual campaign on November 11th, Veterans Day, to assist low-income and/or disabled veterans throughout Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. In the previous ten years, PWC has provided services for over 6,200 households of veterans or their surviving spouse.
PWC is committed to this program because the need continues to escalate with the aging demographics of the veterans throughout our local communities as evidenced below:

The fastest growing demographic of veterans, 65 years and older.

There are more than 175,000 veterans within PWC’s 20-county service territory.

In Hamilton County, there are 38,000 veterans and 53% of them are 65 years of age or older – 25% of those are over 75 years old.

One out of three veterans over 65 have a disability.
-
More than 2,000 veterans in Hamilton County are living below the poverty level.

PWC currently has over 400 veterans on our waiting list across 20 counties.
