PWC is looking for a dynamic individual to fill an Americorps VISTA position. This position will work to increase the capacity of PWC’s Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP) by: 1) connecting with volunteers who lapsed during the pandemic, 2) recruiting new volunteers, 3) working with various PWC departments to identify new volunteer opportunities at PWC, 4) working with the VIP program staff to improve volunteer tracking and management systems, 5) helping to standardize volunteer orientation, 6) updating our training curriculum, and 7) helping onboard new volunteers.
PWC’s Mission: PWC provides urgent and critical home repairs, accessibility modifications, and weatherization services so that low-income homeowners can remain living more independently and healthily in a safe, sound home.
Compensation:Bi-weekly living stipend, totaling $23,000 for 12 months of service; 10 personal days; 10 days of medical leave; 14 national holidays off; Health insurance, choice of Education Award or End of Service award; mileage reimbursement for travel required for VISTA duties; training opportunities through the Ohio CDC Association.
