Volunteer Your Time to Change a Life.
Volunteers are the cornerstone of PWC. The time and contributions of people
like you help your elderly and disabled neighbors remain independent. Anyone interested
in giving back to the community is welcome – from master tradesmen to those
wanting to learn a skill and even those who can only perform simple household tasks.
The PWC Volunteer Involvement Program (VIP) is host to a wide range of projects
that benefit clients in a variety of ways. You can team up with other workers during
the week or for major PWC events, you can create a personal schedule, or simply
show up on the third Saturday of each month when PWC hosts Home Improvement Day.
Projects will be tailored to match your individual skills or the skills of your
group. There is also opportunity for you to apprentice with an experienced volunteer
to learn more about a trade. Whatever your skill level is we can match you with
a project.
Home Improvement Days...
Third Saturday of each month
The Volunteer Involvement Program of PWC is open at 8:30 a.m. on the third Saturday
of each month at PWC, 4612 Paddock Road in Bond Bill. If you missed our major events
this year, PWC’s Home Improvement Days give you another chance to give back
to your community.
Due to contract limitations, there are certain projects the PWC staff cannot perform.
Home Improvement Days are designed to tackle these “wish list” projects
that continue to grow throughout the year. Your volunteerism gives homeowners a
second chance to get the help they need to maintain the home that they cherish.
Don’t miss out on this rewarding experience.
