People Working Cooperatively provides serious home repair; not cosmetic. We restore heat to keep clients warm; repair leaks to keep clients dry and fix plumbing so they can have running water.
The average PWC client earns only $13,000 annually, often juggling medical, utilities and grocery bills. Critical home repairs are neglected, often until the owners health and safety are compromised.
Without our help, our clients may face substandard housing or even homelessness.
Our Services: What We Do
Home maintenance is performed by PWC's professional, licensed, trained and bonded staff of skilled tradesmen, which includes plumbers, electricians, carpenters, and HVAC technicians. Minor repairs and maintenance are provided through our volunteer program.
What kinds of problems qualify for PWC's help? no running water reduced security (broken windows or locks) no heat or poor heat no hot water electrical hazards/no electricity due to malfunction a serious roof leak serious damage due to roof leak no working toilet flooding in basement/sewage
In all instances, clients must qualify for all repairs. Regretfully, we cannot perform all repairs in all areas due to contract specifications and funding restrictions. Additionally, clients are limited to the number of emergency and critical services they can receive annually.
